'Crushing Defeet'

Notice the spelling of 'defeet'. Yes, it's Anthony-style but it's also a reference to a stress fracture to Brook Lopez's foot that has crushed any chances of the Golden Showers competing for the JBL title this season. As you can see from Lopez's face - it looks like he's either getting pleasured or he's in a lot of pain.

So, what's next for the Golden Showers? Well, it looks like I will be scrambling for healthy players again this season and trying to stay out of the basement. With today's news I would have to downgrade my teams fortunes from Cougar to Vegas Chick. I have already come to the realization that it will not be a pretty season in Golden. So, the plan is to try and compete. Play spoiler in categories and of course, try to finish high enough in the standings to keep a couple of players for next season and acquire some rookie draft picks along the way.

My team may not be good - but it will be a busy and fun season in Golden. Can you imagine the offers I'm going to get from contending teams that want Kevin Love, Dwyane Wade or Rudy Gay for their title push? That's what's so exciting about the JBL. The seasons run right into each other with the keeper rules and now the draft picks. Let's face it, if every JBL team just started from scratch every year and there were no keepers or anything like that - why would I care where my team finished or how it did? I would be like Pearl and not pay attention all year because I know that everyone would start back next season with no players. However, with our brilliant system - I need to try and do well so I can protect some players.
